Bottle Caps to Cross-Stitch
Graphic Design, Crafts
A project about collections in Gail Anderson's class, using her collection of vintage bottle caps. Inspired by the vintage artwork on them, I enlarged each to 3 inches and created an embroidery sampler.
- Bottle Caps to Cross-Stitch
Bottle cap artwork turned into decorative embroidery samplers.
- The prompt for this project was to create something about a collection. At the time, I did not really collect anything interesting, so Gail Anderson let me use her bottle cap collection for this project. Inspired by the artwork on each of these vintage bottle caps, I decided to enlarge the bottle cap artwork to 3 inches, and then create an embroidered sampler.

A personal project, because so many of my friends are having babies now - baby onesies which I hand-embroider. They are available for purchase on my etsy store: www.etsy.com/shop/jennysimsmakesthingsCrafts, Fashion2012
Keepsake baby pillows which I hand embroider with the baby's name, in colors that match their nursery. Available on my etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/jennysimsmakesthingsCrafts2012
Several of the things that I made for our June 2011 wedding: Table Name Cards (locations in NYC that are important to us, with an explanation on the back), Seating Chart (a unique way to tell everyone where to sit), and the Place Cards that I did using "fauxligraphy," stamps, and ribbon.Graphic Design, Crafts2011
For my wedding in June 2011, I came up with the idea to hand embroider handkerchiefs for all of the women in my family and my bridesmaids. I embroidered their first initial and a flower in either their favorite colors or colors that I thought fit them well. I have since started selling these on my etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/jennysimsmakesthingsCrafts2012
